The Year Of The Vizier Stage 2: The UnNatural Disaster

“Wow. Ok, so this week-long counseling session has been hefty. I’m almost sad that it is coming to an end. I feel like we have only scratched the surface of the true issue. Queen Amberlynn, do you mind expressing to King Elijah in a sentence or two that describes where you think the state of y’alls marriage is right now? Don’t rush, take your time.”

Amberlynn and Elijah sat next to each other across from Dr. Jen on a comfortable bean bag couch in the prestigious psychologist’s plush office. The couple was on the last day of their week-long intensive marriage counseling session with one of the most respected psychologists in the Dual Society. The royal couple needed to do something to help save their public image after Elijah and his older brother Bluu were exposed by two up-and-coming female Humanoid models that they shared a debauchery-filled party night with the previous weekend.

“Well. Honestly, I feel like we used to be extremely close. Now I feel like there is an ocean between us.” Elijah’s heart dropped to the bottom of his stomach after hearing those words come out of his wife’s mouth.

From the first day that he met Amberlynn, Elijah always felt terrible whenever he disappointed her. But this was far greater than a disappointment. This was true embarrassment. The entire Second Earth was made known of the heroic male Humanoid’s addiction and abuse of morphine mushrooms and alcohol that he had been struggling with since the end of the Romona Republic and Marvelous Democrato War. He felt that the most logical thing for him to do was to check into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center for at least 30 days. The toughest part about this decision made by the king was that he would be away from his newborn son Elijah Maximus. But those were the negative consequences of the unnatural disaster that his selfish actions caused. If there was any time in his life that an unexpected change needed to happen, there was no time more relevant than this one.

“Alright fans, here we go for the match you have all been waiting for. Three rounds of street fighting for the Vizier Street Fighting League (VSFL) Heavyweight Championship of the Planet. And now, ladies and males in attendance and street fighting fans joining us from around the Planet. Live from the Icehouse Grand Arena in the fabulous Win City. It’s time for the main event of the evening.” As soon as the robust voice of the ring announcer that was clashing with the loud cheers of the sellout crowd stopped talking, three bell rings followed. The much anticipated match between the undefeated champion Frederick Fly and the undefeated number one contender K.View was finally about to begin.

The original scheduled date for the match was July 3rd, but the fight was moved up months ahead of that date. Frederick became so angry with the amount of disrespect that K.View showed him at the last press conference between the two, that he agreed to end the mandatory steroid testing for the match and also agreed to move up the match date to two weeks after the infamous press conference. The commissioner of the VSFL, Vincent the Vehement tried his best to talk to his fellow Gracetopian Frederick out of ending the mandatory steroid testing that was set in place for the match. He knew exactly what the vicious Humanoid would do as soon as the testing stopped. The next day, K.View was back to using the illegal steroids that helped him gain the huge success that he had achieved in his controversial street fighting career.

“And we’re off!” The main commentator yelled as the two fighters aggressively walked towards each other to meet in the middle of the ring. Throughout his career, Frederick Fly was a defensive fighter who capitalized off of the offensive mistakes of his opponents. That all changed on this particular night against K.View. On this night he wasn’t going to sit back and wait. On this night he would be the aggressor.

“Frederick throws an overhand right. He misses! And he’s hit with a counter roundhouse kick! Down goes Frederick!” It was the first time that Frederick was knocked down to the ground in his professional street fighting career. What made this knock down even worse for the champion was that it happened early in the first round. K.View gave Frederick the best roundhouse kick that he ever had to the face. But to K.View’s surprise, the champion got up to his feet just before the referee completed the ten count.

“Alright K.View. You are lucky to have made it through the last round without passing out. You have to stay on the outside against Frederick. His grappling skills are way too advanced. Stay away from him this round, get a couple of jabs in and you will be the next heavyweight champion of the Planet!” K.View sat on the stool in his corner exhausted and in pain as his trainer yelled instructions at him in his face. After getting knocked down in the first round, Frederick dominated the second round by using his strength and skillset to place K.View into grappling holds and to hit him with close-quarters combat strikes. The two weeks of illegal steroid substances that K.View was using could not match the natural strength and street fighting skillset that Frederick Fly possessed.

K.View took heed to the instructions that was given to him by his trainer. He managed to stay away from Frederick during most of the third and final round. The match ended with Frederick chasing K.View around the ring to a slew of boos from the crowd. The judges scored the match as a split decision in favor of K.View. He was now the new Heavyweight Champion of the Planet.

Vincent the Vehement watched the match from a luxury box suite in the arena with Samsu and a couple of male Gracetopians that he was attempting to convince to join the Pro-Gracetopian Movement that he and Samsu had recently started. It enraged Vincent to the point that he almost threw up his dinner that a cheating Humanoid like K.View just defeated an upstanding Gracetopian like Frederick Fly for the VSFL Heavyweight Championship on the grandest stage of all of the stages on the Second Earth for all of the topians on the Planet to see. He truly believed in his heart and soul that all Gracetopians were superior to all Humanoids in all aspects of existence.
